What is Book Rapport compared to WordFest

Throughout the year and culminating with each Festival, WordFest presents an educational program, First Calgary Financial Book Rapport, when children and youth will have the opportunity to participate in events that bring readers and writers together to experience the power of stories.

When are Book Rapport events?

First Calgary Financial Book Rapport takes place during the festival, in the second week of October – this year, Book Rapport events runs from October 14-20, 2013.

What are Book Rapport events?

Book Rapport events create an environment where children’s and young adult authors can discover and share a passion for stories, books and literature. Book Rapport events stage a variety of readings and fun artists performances appropriate to different age groups.

Each event includes a question and answer session and book signing.

Who can attend Book Rapport events?

Anyone young at heart can attend a Book Rapport event. Featured artists will present age appropriate book reading and workshop so it is up to you to decide which event will suit you best. We offer tickets for groups, families and individuals.

Where are the Book Rapport events?

Events are held at the ConocoPhillips Theatre in the Glenbow Museum, the John Dutton Theatre in the Calgary Public Library, La Cité des Rocheuses as well as other Calgary and Area venues.
