Michelle Campagne (Can)
Michelle Campagne (Can) is a founding member of the famously eclectic Montréal roots band Hart-Rouge. Raised in Willow Bunch, one of only a few French-speaking communities in Saskatchewan, the Campagne children all grew up with a musical bent. A trio of the siblings got their start as a band performing at folk festivals in the 70's, and have since produced a remarkably diverse discography, toured on three continents, and performed on stage or in the studio with such revered French singer-songwriters as Francis Cabrel, Claude Léveillé, Robert Charlebois, Daniel Lavoie and Gilles Vigneault. Michelle has worked with renowned folk musician and children’s performer Connie Kaldor, and comes to WordFest this year as the voice of the picture book The Fabulous Song.
