Eric Wilson is at the top of his game as one of Canada’s foremost mystery writers for children. He has written more than twenty titles, sold nearly a million books in Canada alone, achieved bestseller status in Spain and sold six books to Japan, and won a bevy of awards and honours including the Arthur Ellis Award for Lifetime Achievement and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. His latest, The Emily Carr Mystery, is already in its fourth printing. Graham is quite taken with a young first nations girl named Dawn, who performs in a dance troupe. As a tribute to her ancestors, she does a ceremonial dance named “The Raven” in which she dawns a beautiful raven mask, a historical artifact that she borrowed from the local museum. During the dance, however, an unknown assailant in a bear costume robs her. Graham and Dawn must save this priceless artifact before it is destroyed – and before her parents return home.
