| David Bouchard
was born and raised on the Canadian prairie. A latecomer
to literature, he first became a dedicated reader at twenty-seven
and began writing a decade later. The author of over twenty-five
bestselling books now lives in British Columbia with his
wife Vicki and their combined family of seven. David Bouchard's
books have won several prestigious awards, among them the
Governor General's Literary Award for The Song Within
My Heart and the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry award for
Voices from the Wild; If You're not from the
Prairie was listed by Maclean's as one of Canada's
