Natale Ghent (Can)
Natale Ghent is an award-winning journalist and the author of the acclaimed novel No Small Thing, which was nominated for the Silver Birch Award, rated a Top Ten Spring Book Pick by The Globe and Mail and shortlisted for the Canadian Library Association's Book of the Year for Children Award. Her first novel, Piper, was chosen for several "best of" lists, including Our Choice 2001, the Canadian Children's Book Centre's annual guide to children's literature, and the Pennsylvania School Library Association's Young Adult Top Forty. Natale currently lives with her family in Toronto; she brings All the Way Home, the sequel to No Small Thing, to this year's WordFest.

Nat, his two sisters and his mother have sold their house and moved into a small apartment in order to have enough money to keep their horse, Smokey. The new apartment is dingy, Nat's older sister is hanging out with the wrong crowd and his mother is spending what little money have much too quickly. When his mother becomes sick and is hospitalized, Nat decides to take Smokey and try to find the father that abandoned them so many years ago.
