Hazel Hutchins
is an author of over thirty titles for children from picture
books to middle reader novels; she enjoys the entire process
and has won awards and recognition at all levels. Her recent
titles include the humorous TJ and the Sports Fanatic
(part of the popular TJ series), the engaging
fantasy of Sarah and the Magic Science Project
and lively picture books The Sidewalk Rescue and
A Second is a Hiccup. A regular presenter at schools,
libraries and conferences across Canada, Hazel was born
and raised in rural southern Alberta and currently makes
her home in the mountain town of Canmore.
