| Lemn Sissay
is a renowned poet, playwright, editor, filmmaker, recording
artist and broadcast journalist. The author of four poetry
collections - Tender Fingers in a Clenched Fist, Rebel
Without Applause, Morning Breaks in the Elevator and
The Emperor's Watchmaker - he has performed his
work around the world and appeared on such seminal recordings
as Leftfield's Leftism. Lemn has been commissioned
to write poems by a number of organizations include the
World Service, and has seen his work become public art in
Manchester, where it appears on buildings and in the streets.
His extraordinary life and search for his father was the
subject of the BBC documentary Internal Flight.
