Cecil Castellucci (US)

Cecil Castellucci is an indie rocker, filmmaker, actress and writer whose previous books for young adults include Boy Proof, The Queen of Cool, Jane’s In Love and The PLAIN Janes which was nominated for the Joe Shuster Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Writer Award and for the American Library Association’s Great Graphic Novels for Teens. In her latest book, Beige, Katy is sent to spend the summer with her Dad, an aging L.A. punk rocker known as the Rat. Castellucci grew up in New York City, is French Canadian and makes her home in Los Angeles.

Marty and Remi are enjoying their last days of summer vacation. Things turn sour when their good friend, and object of both of their affections Trina, has her bike stolen, kicking off a series of mysterious disappearances. Mr. E, the school’s new science teacher, quickly suspects that the two boys are up to no good.
