The Night Wanderer: A Native Gothic Tale (Annick Press, 2007)

Tiffany is a 16-year-old girl living in Otter Lake Reserve. Tiffany is on cloud nine, mostly because of her new white boyfriend Tony. That is, until her father announces that Tiffany will have to move out of her room and into the basement when a mysterious European boarder comes to stay at the house. Suddenly, everything is going wrong, school, her failing friendships and the sneaking suspicion that there is something very strange about their houseguest Pierre. Pierre too is experiencing turmoil, trying to repress something quite sinister inside him.
