Events (1 ½ Hours Total)
Public events invite students into the excitement
of WordFest. They have an opportunity to experience
the electricity of events in some of Calgary’s
top cultural venues, including Vertigo Theatre
and the Central Library’s John Dutton Theatre.
Book Rapport pairs two authors in a one-hour event
where talents combine to feature their newest
writing. The events themselves vary widely depending
on the artists, and include a question and answer
period.
Following the event, your class has a half-hour
to mix and mingle with authors, get books signed
and take advantage of the on-site bookseller if
they choose.

In-School
Events (1 ½ Hours Total)
Book Rapport works with teachers and the selected
author to build an event that suits the school’s
needs. In-school events feature one author and include
a question and answer period. As with public events,
your class has a half-hour following the one-hour
event to mix and mingle with the author andget books
signed. |
